02 · Context

The largest expansion in the retained series

The latest interval added 20 vessels. The largest earlier expansion observed across these 5 retained snapshots added 6. Snapshot intervals are irregular, so this is context for the observed series, not a complete history of OFAC actions.

How the index is built

ArcNautical parses the official US Treasury OFAC SDN CSV, selects records typed as vessels, and compares stable OFAC record identifiers between publication dates. Every headline count is recomputed from the downloadable records; no estimate or manually entered total is used.

All 5 normalized source snapshots are publicly listed with SHA-256 hashes. The manifest records publication dates, retrieval timestamps where available, record counts, and direct snapshot downloads.
